Heβs already under his favourite tree, enjoying the morning and keeping an eye on everything around him.
Wishing everyone a peaceful start to the day.
The day we met him. Underweight, had heartworm. anaplasmosis & ehrlichiosis, an infection & was anaemic too with a catastrophic elbow injury. Turned out his owner had dumped him as too sick to work. Fit & healthy now with his best friend Roxy, a botched spay patient we gave corrective surgery to.
Turkeyβs Ministry of Agriculture reports:
452,587 dogs collected
244,000 in shelters
58,802 adopted
That leaves 149,785 dogs dead.
Thatβs 1 in 3 dogs.

Wheels day is always sooooo exciting! A lot of what we do can be very sad when the dogs come in to clinic. But seeing a little one get their wheels is always a very, very happy experience
Some are off & racing right away, others aren't so sure & a very small number just stand stock still. However they all learn to love them once they get used to them. Its great that they can have walks again without drag bags to protect their skin.
He is gorgeous and so are your goats. I have bookmarked & will have a thoroughly good coffee break tomorrow getting to know you all β€οΈ

The shelter project has dogs in the hundreds living there, can be quite an experience having them all thundering toward you looking for treats. Did you ever see the Christmas dinner we did there. Took a cast of thousands at the soup kitchen even had people in suits peeling the veg.
