I understand the demand is probably high for that certain style which should balance it out, but I would understand the original artist being upset as art style is part of their branding. Part of their online identity that they likely worked hard on to make unique.

I have mutuals who are big artists and have copies like this.. I honestly don’t know, I feel iffy about it as someone who commissions a lot, because style plays a huge part in who I choose to commission. It feels like stealing someone’s potential clients in my opinion..

I’ve seen situations like this and they’ll probably deny they use it in the first place.. that’s the issue, they take commissions; and they’re trying to be close to me thinking they can fool me. This is bigger than me, I’ve been suspecting them for a while.

I’ll think about it.. I’ve already been going around to artist mutuals asking for their opinion on whether it’s AI or not. I’ve asked some non-artist ones too, but so far all the artists agree that it’s suspicious.

I wish I could do that.

I’ve been frustrated the past few days trying to figure out how to approach this person.

I’m so mentally fatigued, I really should just open a book, play a game, have some down time offline.. this is stressing me out so much.

If only it were that easy.. I know I should probably let others know about my suspicions.

I’m still deciding how to respond because I hate confrontation but I’m sure any other artist would also get suspicious with the current evidence. I hate having to deal with this not long after my birthday.

I’ll be trying to relax before I figure out what to do.

So.. it was just my birthday and I had lots of fun!! I went out, had dinner.. and you know what happened?

I got home, opened my phone and this person I’ve suspected of tracing AI has DRAWN MY CHARACTER.

I had my persona put through AI and traced.. on my birthday. Please. Please don’t do that.
