I’m really trying to understand why I keep seeing this take online, because it makes no sense to me.

In my mind, music/books/games are all forms of communication. A novel is essentially a fictional universe that gets transmitted from the author to me. That’s what makes it interesting/meaningful.

Does this actually appeal to you? Like, would you want to listen to a song that is essentially a random composite of all your favourite songs?

Artificial intelligence tools for programmers all seem to get this wrong. Most (all?) of them are focused on helping us write code faster. What I want is to better understand code, like having an expert human teacher help you understand how something works.

I really appreciate more as I get older the people who talk about the things they find interesting or new and enjoying and just highlighting thing and not spending there life shitting over what they find mildly annoying. Your Not gonna like everything but talking about what you do is just cool.
