17 weeks - X-rays cleared Cobalt to return to full activity. His bone grew so much the plate is small compared to the length and girth now. Heβs more than ready to conquer the world with more cuteness and nips.

Yeah, emergency surgeon said the same. Apparently the fibula was rubber and did not break but the larger tibia did.
At 14 weeks he broke his right tibia jumping down a flight of stairs. 13k of surgery, a metal plate, and 2 weeks later heβs walking like nothing happened.
12 weeks old and mostly a good boy with some tantrums and accidents.
They just know spitz breeds are the best company and a really good fit provided you can give them an outlet.
Day 7 contβ - everything is a toy until it isnβt though only outside is a bathroom unless overly excited. Dog doors acquired, pouncing on the door opens it to run in or out and chase the other dogs.
Day 7 - containment failure, stairs acquired. Older dogs now only have the bed as a safe location to avoid puppy attention.
Day 4 - two boys are cuddling up and social with some light play. Ari has decided to be wherever there is not a puppy still. Heβs missing out on the lazy puppy moments heβd like for the chance to avoid hyper puppy face time.
Day 2 - the boys have a triangle strategy, they can all co-exist together but Ari must find a quiet place from puppy jumping, Lumi needs to follow the puppy to play, and Cobalt needs to find the smallest nooks to nest in to chew on toys, avoid Lumi and catch Ari off-guard to lick his muzzle.
Day 2 - puppy energy all the time, this must be the source of unlimited energy used in βPowerthirstβ drinks.
Yes. Wait list was 2-3 years and Iβve waited for quite a bit. Come over and visit.
Cobalt arrived today, heβs quite happy and immediately climbed into my arms. Once settled in the switch flipped from cuddles to zoomies and finally put him to bed in the crate where he threw a fit before settling in and sleeping. All 3 boys seem to get along but Ari isnβt a fan of zoomies
I like the mutual and followed last post to simplify seeing people who donβt post as often.
He always gets my food. But I can give more pets.
Final ER recheck for Ari came back with normal bloodwork and heβs a healthy old man with old man backend issues like arthritis, joint and muscle loss. Heβs happy and active as much as that allows.
Not a scam β¦ a lottery β¦ with odds favoring the house.
Dinner complete with lots of dog begging for treats they are thankful for.
Ultrasound and X-rays show a perfectly healthy old man. He looks great and his lungs have cleared up too. He does seem to have some other signs, but overall it looks like an acute event trauma causing the bleeding and no signs of cancer. He even impressed the doctor.
Follow up today doing xrays and ultrasound to get a better idea of whatβs going on. His tests mostly came back and heβs got a mycoplasma infection and acute bleeding. The rest of the culture tests are still not back. So more drugs and waiting game for more results.
Ari went to the ER last night. Tests are running but he has blood in his lungs and is on meds to help with the symptoms. Heβs stubborn and willful, but also the best boy Iβve had the pleasure of knowing. All he wants is me β¦ and also my food.
Still adjusting to no longer being employed. Trying to shift into the next opportunity here, but Iβm still walking up thinking about how to fix issues that are no longer my concern. Guess after 10 years Iβll need more than a few days to reprogram myself.
Lazy morning, too sprawled to get the ball.
Managed to hit my head with the pole jack instead of the pole I was seating for the trees. I let gravity do the job except the lip caught the top of the pole and rotated onto my head. Taking that as a sign to stop working in the yard.
Ari is the cutest dog when he goes into puppy mode. Heβs less old man these days and far more a happy smiling puppy.
Heβs actually the one trying to get Lumi to wrestle and play with him.
My house is just 30β above sea level. So I hope the golden gate straight inhibits the worst of it.
The pre-cooking wait. No food is ready yet, but soon?!?
Lazy Sunday vibe: Ari casually wandering the house until he finds me, begins to wag at me only to not come see me but rather to go find a spot to lie down nearby.
This is our lazy hide and seek.
Content to be comfy and aware of each other.
Woke up to the sound of breathing. The room was warmer than usual on the thermostat too. Got up to see and found both dogs sleeping in the room so I go to pet Ari only to find heβs cold & wet and was tired of sleeping in the rain.
I learned it rained last night and the wet season started.
Love mine, but the dogs have taken it over as the super best bed.
