Which is so frustrating to me because I see all the possibilities and instead of being allowed to focus on what I'm good at and what I enjoy (3D design and 3D printing) I get to hang out in meetings with lawyers, internal auditors and QM and I have to wait for months on decisions.(3/3)

In general you have a good argument and for the field I work in I can tell you the reason is regulation. Not the rigor of regulation but the pace of change of regulation. Public hospitals are not able to keep up with changing compliance requirements and opt to err on the side of caution.(2/3)

3D printing in medicine is doing huge leaps in the last 7 years. While the methids have been researched and in some cases used since the early 2000, point-of-care 3D printing of implants is only now getting traction. This is greatly improving affordability and quality of recovery for patients.(1/3)

I just don’t like superhero comics because they usually ramp up fast to world ending threats. I enjoy reading stories about events with minor impacts to the world but major impact to the mc. but that’s just subjective preference.

What about Hägar the Horrible (Hogar strašni)? As a Balkan emigrant kid I came in contact with a bunch of comcis that few of my friends know: Alan Ford, Tex. Sadly in pop culture everything gets overshadowed by Marvel & DC in which I have no interest at all.

view it as an opportunity to try combining different properties: translucent & opaque, rigid & elastic. or just use it to finish spools with <20g of filament left :D are you planning on getting the enclosure? you could design and print your own digilegs from carbon fibre reinforced filament.

I 3D-sculpted Bonzo's body in Nomad Sculpt. @madnesscreations.com made a papercraft pattern using CozyBlanket by @sparseal.bsky.social, which we printed and I then assembled, cut into a suitable pattern again, traced it onto 1 cm upholstery foam, cut it out, glued it together! So far so good!

oof I feel the pain. I once had a FEP fail and then it cured on the LCD, managed to save the LCD but it took forever.

First try doing a 3D Print timelapse :D it's fun to look at, but for a real good result it's necessary to integrate the printer with the camera to send the trigger signal only when the build plate is in a certain position.

Enter the domain you want to use, add the provided text to the DNS record with your registrar and click "Verify DNS Record".

Go to Settings>Account>Handle and click "I have my own domain"

I just found out, if you own a domain you can link it to your profile to replace the ".bsky.social" handle. How fun!
