That's a significant win for both Angular and the Vite ecosystem, ultimately benefiting all Vite-based frameworks, meta frameworks, and libraries.

I just had the pleasure of test running @alem.forge42.dev 's first React Router workshop today with him, before the official one tomorrow. He did a great job with the workshop, and it was a pleasure to go through it with him. To all participants tomorrow: Enjoy the learning experience, have fun!

Wonder how many CPU cycles are wasted for generating the same HTML by running the same code, db queries, and network traffic for the same requests and responses, even if nothing has changed.

Omg the more I see from @astro.build, the more I love it. It’s the framework I would have wanted to create if it didn’t exist. Fonts, Images, CSP, sessions ,… it’s just right.

The PSF has withdrawn a $1.5 million proposal to US government grant program

I don't write Python, but I highly respect and acknowledge that: pyfound.blogspot.com/2025/10/NSF-...
Congratulations to the PSF for making that decision. Many other companies and open-source projects should demonstrate some of that backbone!

Although I prefer to end all my text files with a newline, cause its part of the "Unix philosophy" for reasons. It doesn't hurt, especially in the JS/TS ecosystem, does it? After reading the comments on the linked issue, I don't understand the argument against having the last line end with a newline

The only example I probably would use an LLM for is to remove/replace profanity from a text, as I think (not tested) it might be better to understand and find more subtle profanity from the meaning of a text if that’s a requirement.

I can so relate to what you wrote, but it’s not just the tech industry with AI, imo. Social media, politics,… I can’t stand this black-and-white thinking.

For a basic crud app, you have "must haves", "Nice to haves", and "Polish". In each are different skills, like "Data fetching" or "Remote logging". These skills are differently weighted between how often a company does them and how valuable they are for individuals to have as skills on a team.

Most companies have similar business needs for their software, but not all needs are met equally

IE: Error handling. Critical for biz needs. Yet so many companies I've seen absolutely neglect it. Why? Not enough engineers focusing on that discipline

Get good at that stuff and you'll be unstoppable

Hot take: Next.js has become overly complex, even for an enterprise. It lost its identity. Look for simpler alternatives (enterprise friendly)

Content with JS? Choose @astro.build or @nuxt.com

Fully SPA? Go for @tanstack.com

Roll your own? @vite.dev and its ecosystem got you

Is Cam Cole the coolest Mfer on this earth? Few weeks ago I was told i should listen to his songs. So I did. Now finding out that he is living/touring England and the world in his self built, solar powered truck with his self built foot drums and mostly self built sound system WAT 🀯.
