Few bug fixes this morning, and a stress test of the API against 500 URLs. More checks should return results now: amtpg.run

In 2022, I released a little project called "Are my third parties green?" so people can check the sustainability of third parties on the web. Nearly 5000 web page checks later it's time for an update!

It's still in beta, but you can give it a look over at amtpg.run (amtpg.run)

We nearly had power profiling in Chromium - Fershad Irani Being able to capture the on device power use of a website is a really important step towards making forward progress in web sustainability. Firefox has it, and it looks like Chrome almost did too.

China rarely has a policy that China, Taiwan, and Japan all support.

🇨🇳 - no more 🇨🇳 tourist, that’ll show them!
🇹🇼- booked my flight and hotel for Japan in December.
🇯🇵 - wow, can’t believe it’s to easy to get rid of poorly behaved Chinese tourists.

Some non-coffee places:
- Kappabashi Dougugai for kitchen gear shopping (it's a whole street of shops).
- Misojyu at Asakusa (rice balls, get there early, expect a line).
- Udon Yamacho Ebisu (v good udon, expect a line)
- Kiyosumi-shirakawa (nice area to wander - parks, museums, boutique cafes)

Little Nap is an awesome place for beverage!!~

Taiwan’s sources for energy imports

Taiwan relies on imports for about 96% of its energy (2023).
This map highlights the main suppliers of fossil fuels used for power generation:
Australia: 50% of coal, 40% of gas
Qatar: 28% of gas
United States: 27% of gas, 9% of oil
Saudi Arabia: 31% of crude oil
Indonesia: 25% of coal
