Bluesky was literally meant to be a cryptobro social network for grifters, LinkedIn sludge, and libertarians who know way too much about age of consent laws.
Jack Dorsey *left* when instead of weird and off-putting cryptonerds, trans people started hanging out here.
2 was better but I like the soundtrack of 1 more
play escape goat btw
I don't want to stop using social media or being online. I know first hand that it can be extremely fun and fulfilling. I want this experience to get better, I don't want to just fuck off and let it all die.
seeing the indie web movement gaining momentum is giving me hope that one day maybe...
If anybody knows how to set up a voice meter/virtual audio cable equivalents in a Linux distro please please please hmu
New windows I stalled has failed me at every turn. Fresh installs if the os on a wiped drive, fresh steam games install, fresh obs install, fresh voicemeter, all non functional in different ways. Bazzite currently installing on ANOTHER drive and I'm praying things will actually function.
Really great experience, excited to play act 2 when it arrives!

Hey friends! A week ago my little egg of a game dev studio announced our first game: a super cool stylish flying racing/combat game with great gameplay in a way you might not expect. We're calling it Verses! Check out the trailer and look further if you like it! youtu.be/co_mREUC6Q8?...

We thought we were facing this month on no food stamps, but a tiny bit of income.
Turns out we're facing this month on no food stamps AND no income.
I'm so tired.
Canadians travelling to the US advised to not fucking do that

Oof. I just read your post in the most uncharitable, pedantic way possible, and I gotta tell ya: it's not looking good for you.
Games do not have to cost $100 and craven business ghouls do not deserve your attention
Pathologic 3 stream today, first stream on the new windows install, pray it works
Just going through SteamDB to see if there were any real deep-cut indie gems I missed, and I stumble upon Terminal Lucidity. A very polished looking sci-fi horror adventure with a lot of command-line shenanigans.
100% positive user reviews, and it's apparently a full-length game. And it's FREE.
The most gloriously dumb rhythm game ever made. 8 buttons, high BPM, note charts like whoa...
But it only counts the number of buttons hit and which side of your keyboard they're on. So you can just randomly keysmash (so long as it's to the beat) and win. And extra smashing multiplies points.
Some conservatives here think that secular young Iranians would be happy if America would come and liberate them. What would you say to them? Democracy, contrary to what they try to tell us, itβs not a paper that you hang on the wall and then you have a democracy. Democracy is a social evolution. It is something cultural. Iranians, they have become much more secular, and they are ready for democracy, but they have to fight themselves for democracy, and the only thing that other countries can do is to understand their fight and help them in their fight. They [America] talk about the human rights in Iran β¦ how is it that the United States makes the biggest deals with China, and China is far from respecting human rights? What about Saudi Arabia? If you want to talk about an inquisition, the Iranian regime is far from being an inquisition. We have almost a free press, people leave, women have the right to study, they drive, they work. Saudi Arabia, they donβt have anything like that! Talk about human rights in Saudi Arabia! Why doesnβt anyone go and put a bomb in Saudi Arabia and kill the king?
Do you think itβs ironic that, in the face of American threats, you almost find yourself defending the Iranian regime? Absolutely, but if we want a democracy, the Iranian people have to do it themselves. The Americans say they want a democracy in Iran, and at the same time, when the Iranians wanted to become democratic in 1953 with [Mohammad] Mosaddeq and to nationalize our oil, the CIA came and made a coup dβΓ©tat in my country. Why do you want me to believe that they want to come and make a democracy? We have to make our democracy! There are many things that I wish for in my country β I want my country to be free, I want my country to be democratic, I donβt want any journalists to go to jail because of an article they wrote in my country. But if the United States of America attacked my country, no matter what, I would be against the United States.
Do you see similarities between the Christian fundamentalists in our government and the mullahs in Iran? Theyβre the same! George Bush and the mullahs of Iran, they use the same words! The mullahs of Iran say we have God on our side; he has God on his side, too. Both of them are convinced that they are going to eradicate evil in the world. But when these words come out of the mouth of a mullah, itβs normal. Itβs a shame that the president of the biggest secular democracy in the world talks with the same words as the mullahs. Itβs extremely scary.
Do you have any advice for secular Americans who are faced with living in a country thatβs increasingly governed by religious fundamentalists? If I have any advice, itβs that every day that you wake up, donβt say, βThis is normal.β Every day, wake up with this idea that you have to defend your freedom. Nobody has the right to take from women the right to abortion, nobody has the right to take from homosexuals the right to be homosexual, nobody has the right to stop people laughing, to stop people thinking, to stop people talking. If I have one message to give to the secular American people, itβs that the world is not divided into countries. The world is not divided between East and West. You are American, I am Iranian, we donβt know each other, but we talk together and we understand each other perfectly. The difference between you and your government is much bigger than the difference between you and me. And the difference between me and my government is much bigger than the difference between me and you. And our governments are very much the same.
The full 2005 interview it's from is well worth a read btw. Sadly just as relevant today as it was 20+ years agoβmoreso, in fact. www.salon.com/2005/04/24/s...
"There are many things I wish for my country . . . But if the USA attacked my country, no matter what, I would be against the US."
Iβm very upset, but Iβve got nothing of substance to contribute to the conversation on this platform. When you see me posting through it about random stuff, donβt confuse it for apathy.
Max Dubler, AICP @maxdubler.com Huh I wonder why the right wing billionaires who own all the major social platforms fill my lefty friends' feeds with "leftist" content about how the Democrats are awful and there's no point voting for them because it won't bring any real change. No reason, I'm sure. β’ Vituperative Erb @vituperativeerb.bs... β’ 13h It's frequently notable to me that millennial "leftists" whose suburban parents would have been listening to that stuff driving them to school talk about the Democratic Party in essentially the same terms Rush Limbaugh did
idk homie iβm canadian and most of my education about the democratic party came from seeing the things the democratic party says and does
Trying to raise what i can, its all due at the end of the month, so if any one wants to help it would help a stressed wolf be less stressful.
Twitter post: βAutistic Arab @autisticarab Duke Nukem fans, I bring grave news about his origin. In Duke Nukem Forever, you can see a photo of Duke when he was in the military. In it, he's not holding an M4. He is holding a C8A1. That's right, Duke isn't American. Its terrifying. He is Canadian.β Response βBeBBeroni Bizza @BebberoniB Can't even be explained as an american with a C8 either, that's the CAF tac vest in cadpat aridβ
I refuse to do any amount of fact checking on this, I am taking it at face value
I know I've promoted this album a lot but I gotta Do The Thing here, if you haven't gotten into my new album yet it it'd be very cool if you picked it up or showed it to someone that might since I just lit $200 on fire for medication insurance wouldn't cover lol
