I use SWA, but not TWS yet. I did wonder if you got them shipped or collected in person π

Definitely a point Mike , thanks π
Iβve not used them tbh Justine, Iβll go check them out, thank you π
Got to be done, and Iβve just signed up with whisky hammer.
There are 2 I use generally mate, just wondered which ones others preferred π
A question for the auction buying whisky purchasers amongst you, whoβs your go to auction?
Yep, surprising Mike π
Cotswolds arenβt bad, their STR is nice, but theyβve gotten a bit expensive for my taste.
That Bunna needed some water, it improved a lot for me after that.
Tonight's votes from me are 3,1,2,1,4. #BlindDrams
Dot 5 Finish - Very long, very high ABV, so fruity and spicy, certainly not for a whisky novice. makes up for the other 4 drams for me, I'll give this a 4. #BlindDrams
Dot 5 palate - Big palate, a real red fruit medley, red chilli spice, a right handful. The best palate too tonight imho, rounded, Opal fruits, old leather, bourbon cherryness, hot honey, golden syrup, and a mineral water note at times. #BlindDrams
Dot 5 Nose - The best nose tonight for me already. pine cleaner, evergreen boughs, green apple skins, new suede shoes, leather bookmarks with the rough back. Red apple skins come forward, back of a decorators van, it's more rounded, and quite strong. #BlindDrams
Dot 4 Finish - Medium long. and carries on like the bulk of the palate. If you want spice, you'll get it, but it's not offering me much more. Sorry @maltmusings.bsky.social but it's a 1 for me π¬ #BlindDrams
Dot 4 Palate - Very spicy, sulphurous, old style window putty, chilli heat, red berries are coming through, peated? maybe, I'm getting hints, but nothing concrete. Honey in the background, some faint topical fruits. #BlindDrams
continued - I'm getting some sulphur now, and lots of wood, I hope the palate is better π€ #BlindDrams
Dot 4 Nose - Initially, wood forward, like dot 2. It's a big powerful nose, plenty of ABV, but like dot 2, it's holding onto its aromas for me, like some cask strength drams do. I'll add water later, I think it needs it. #BlindDrams

you shouldn't be putting on your back end Tom π€£ #BlindDrams
we've matched scores so far Patrick #BlindDrams
Dot 3 Finish - The mouthfeel thickens with time, and we're diving into all things dark fruits, dark chocolate, and it's reasonably long. I'm giving it a 2. #BlindDrams
Dot 3 Palate - Thin on tasting, engine oil, cumin and 5 spice, hickory infused black coffee, molasses, chocolate spread, the palate is better than the nose to be fair. #BlindDrams
Dot 3 Nose - Initial notes are balsa wood and stale laundry? WOW. icing sugar is coming through, there are other aromas, but they don't want to come forward, they hang on the perifary. I don't have a blocked nose, and am struggling with this one. I'm thinking wrong ABV #BlindDrams
Dot 2 finish - Quite short in length, and another that doesn't develop much for me. it's not bad as such, but there's much better drams imho, it's a 1 for me. #BlindDrams
Dot 2 Palate - Another that brings spices, white pepper initially, peppermint? green chilli's, dunnage, damp leaf litter and quite earthy for me. green grapes like the nose, lime, and pomelo. can't wait to see what this is, it's a little confused for me tbh. #BlindDrams
I'm with you with that potato peel Nick ππ₯ #BlindDrams
Dot 2 Nose - First off, toffee apples. Them grapefruit pith, mineral water, ozone, and it's fizzy on the nostrils for me. Green grapes, a little pine cleaner, tropical fruits are slowly pushing through. It's definitely a fresh clean type of nose. #BlindDrams
Me too π€ #BlindDrams
BEN WTF! π€ͺ #BlindDrams
I prefer the palate strangely, the nose was very light for me π. #BlindDrams
