Apparently their backend is in Kotlin even tho the job listing calls for familiarly in Go/Python??? And I was like oh my main background isn’t in kotlin and he said “oh that’s fine we all just vibe code these days”

recruiter told me this was a technical interview but turns out the hiring manager just wanted to chat and we shot the shit for 15 minutes and he gave me his email to send over my availability for interviews????

also his camera was off the whole time lol

pray I do not make a fool of myself in front of the hiring manager and forget everything I’ve done before today

It seems like they’re trying to build up a team in Atlanta from scratch given they’re also hiring for a senior and principal position here in addition to the junior one, and the hiring manager is on the west coast. Hopefully this is to my advantage 🤞
