The Asian Development Bank & Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank both have gender policies.

Yet, they still support fossil fuels & mega projects that disrupt ecosystems & communities, with women bearing the biggest burden.

Communities harmed by development projects have long struggled to secure meaningful remedy through IFI accountability mechanisms.

With several policy reviews in 2026, this year is a critical test of whether access to remedy becomes real in practice, not just promised on paper.
