"While I wouldn’t call Mercy a disaster by any means, it’s definitely a prime example of how even slightly promising concepts can be squandered with the wrong kind of execution."

Still on Twitter, and Dakota Johnson’s Calvin Klein campaign is all over my timeline.
Not that I’m complaining.
And there’s a trailer for it! In theatres April 17th! youtu.be/mzaCmw_VrlI?...
FWIW: The Testament of Ann Lee just opened in select theatres, and while I’m not as in love with the film as most critics seem to be, I think Seyfried is pretty spectacular in it.
Respectfully…
We've hit the big leagues now!
"It’s always fascinating whenever any filmmaker has two movies opening in the same year, but with Linklater, it’s especially notable since he’s still one of the most eclectic and versatile American filmmakers that we have."
We have two Richard Linklater reviews from TIFF, reviewed by Bode Sulaiman:
"It helps that Ferreira is such a talented performer, nailing Grace’s optimism in the beginning and her crushed realities as the film progresses."
Bode Sulaiman reviews Mile End Kicks, from this year's TIFF, down below:
"For a directorial debut from one of the most famous actors working today, I suppose that’s not nothing of a start."
Scarlett Johansson's directorial debut, Eleanor the Great, which premiered at TIFF 2025, reviewed by Bode Sulaiman over here:
I’ve been going to TIFF since 2011. This year will be the first time I get to do so as press (on behalf of @cinemafromthespectrum.com). To say I’m excited is an understatement. #TIFF50
"It feels true to life, which is one of the biggest compliments you can give a film like this (a debut no less)."

Made my CFTS debut with this review of Pixar’s ELIO, which goes about more like a personal anecdote of sorts. Check it out!
"You wish there were more time spent exploring any of it in a deeper way, but it seems more focused on getting through its premise, which seems to get busier and more formulaic as it goes along, introducing more that the studio has traversed before."

"Ballerina has less globe-trotting than most of the Wick films, but features settings that feel unique enough to have a place within this film."
Read Connor Walsh's review of Ballerina here:
Sinners was always getting two weeks though, which is the standard IMAX window for the most part. I’m sure some 70mm theatres could keep it, but if they want to extend that window for the majority of screens, it would require re-negotiations between WB and the company, and that’ll be difficult atm.
The boring answer is contracts.
We’ll follow Nicole Kidman anywhere.
Even if it means taking a trip down to Holland, Michigan.
BLACK BAG is still in theatres and is now available on digital, so it’s never been a better time to check out what we thought of it. #BlackBag
ANORA. Good movie. #Oscars
Voted.
Let’s get that Timbit outta here.
No friends in the industry.
Saw COMPANION.
Fun time at the movies (even if the exploration of its themes is a bit surface-level).
Sophie Thatcher deserves the world.
Thanks, MAFIA: DEFINITIVE EDITION!
I hope the roof for Rogers Centre retracts for both Kendrick / SZA shows, so that “A MINOR” echoes throughout all of Toronto.
Watched GLADIATOR.
