I'd be excited to see a second series and would love to see how it'd look now that the organisers (and potential participants) have had a chance to see how the first played out. I know others are interested... very interested... so it's a question of how it'll happen, not if.
Otherwise, the game design was on the whole very strong. The cast was strong (if a little bit timid), and the editing was as faithful to the original as it could be (given the aforementioned constraints and the licensing nightmare it would've been to REALLY recreate the original style).
Of course I have some gripes, but it's mostly that there wasn't enough of the Genius. I think an extra 15-30 mins could've given editors a lot of freedom to keep some of the footage I heard got cut. The show is focused on drama but misses out on some interactions that made the original charming.
The UK's take on #GeniusGame has wrapped up! I was a huge fan of the original South Korean show and highly recommend it to anyone who's a fan of shows like Only Connect and Survivor.
I never expected the show to measure up to the original and I was almost correct, but it exceeded my expectations.
