👨👩👧👦 At Learning with Parents we are tackling educational inequality at its roots - recognising that parents and families are one of the most powerful tools we have to narrow the gap.
In adult life this means:
🪙 Lower earnings
📉 Higher chances of unemployment
❤️ Poorer health and wellbeing
🕒 Cycles of generational inequality
This translates to a 3.3 grade gap at FE and 20.8% university access gap...
By the end of secondary school, it is over 19 months...
By the time they finish primary school, the gap has grown to over 10 months...
👩👧👦 At age 5, when children are starting out in Reception, the educational inequality gap is already 4.7 months. This gap only continues to grow as they progress through school...
