Oh, it's Ellie Taylor's Safe Space?
I'm still slightly disconcerted by the new #NIHR website font. #ImportantResearchOpinions
Alarming, but not surprising.

The last two eps (4 & 5) from the last @academicarchers.bsky.social conference are so interesting. Making #TheArchers sounds like a logistical nightmare - I'll be tempering my complaints in future! Hats off to all involved. academicarchers.buzzsprout.com
Me too. I know Ruairi was dumped on them, but they're being weirdly snotty about him. Hannah is prone to nasty envy though. #TheArchers
I think you're right. π #TheArchers
Ha! Love that idea! βΊοΈ
Chelsea's accent went a bit wobbly too the other day when she was excited about the horse box. Esme's affliction does seem to be catching. #TheArchers
There's a journal out there with a lot of faith in me... I'm late with one review but they've still invited me to do another. βΊοΈ #DontStopBelievin
Maybe James has finally shown up! βΊοΈ #TheArchers
Fair review.
I'm really surprised Josh didn't think George had sabotaged the gate. It's not like Josh to willingly accept the blame for something. #TheArchers
It's..... ummm.... surprising.....
I'm so sad about this! Nothing's good about it. The accessibility info says there will be fixes by April or Dec this year... I wish they'd done little more testing first... π«€
Cat Zimmer
I've begun disliking him, and I don't think I'm supposed to. #TheArchers
Made some science books for kids #worldbookday
Following a pilot show in 1987, the first series of A Bit of Fry and Laurie began airing on this day in 1989.

Festive funtimes, feels a long time ago now. Happy new year?!
Sending positive vibes for you. X
Hope you have an amazing time. I used to go and it was always great fun! βΊοΈ
No Azra, you really shouldn't be telling her all that. π± #TheArchers
Ah ok I see. Interesting, thanks!
Do they! Sadly I haven't crossed paths with any sort of reimbursement, sign me up! βΊοΈ Books in lieu sound good. Even if they're not of interest they could be given to a library or charity shop. At least it would be getting something in return... π
Oh dear, don't lose heart. The impact factor will stay decent. Hopefully this is just a weird anomaly (although admittedly it's hard to see how)!
Astonishing.
Just a thought, but perhaps publishers should pay peer reviewers for their time and expertise, rather than expecting free labour. I know, silly me.
Or, maybe this never went near peer review. I spent hours recently reviewing a manuscript for Scientific Reports. Did I waste my time...?
A few years old now but this is an interesting insider's view from @daraobriain.bsky.social of how to put together a stand up show, via Eddie Izzard.

Mwahahahaha... love being Reviewer 2!
What will I recommend... π
What a delight to see Prof David Nutt named as one of Esquire's 'Better Men' 2025:

Wow this would be far FAR more entertaining than an underwhelming engagement ring! Let's hope for a massive tatt! #TheArchers
