As a portuguese myself, if I hear someone speaking russian a bit far from me it feels like they are speaking portuguese but I'm too far to understand what they're actually saying, but as I get close I realise I don't understand any of it and they're just speaking russian 🤣

That's also true 🤣 we learn the British english at school tho, I write "favourite" and "colour" for example 🤣, it's just that the portuguese accent makes us sound more American (even though people say portuguese sounds like russian 😝)

The way portuguese people speaking english makes us have a naturally bland accent, it's closer to American accent then British or Australian, but it's not the spicy/interesting american ones, it's a really clear and without much variation way of speaking 😅
