Being a Luddite Is Cool and All, but Have You Seen the Hilarious Tapestries These New Looms Are Making?
Don’t get me wrong, I’m as invested in keeping my job as the next weaver. When the boss brought in that big new power loom, I was pretty skeptical....
"This machine-slop will lead to the death of my craft, all so we can reflexively consume mass-produced garbage and keep the working class poor. I get why Luddites are pissed, and if these tapestries weren’t so funny, I’d be right there with them, bashing those machines to bits."

if you are not in Minnesota I need you to know it is BAD. my friends in the cities are afraid to walk their dogs because of the pepper spray. there are empty cars of the abducted left sideways on the street. a kids arm was broken on school property. we are terrified.

When I can’t remember someone’s name, I imagine Don Pardo announcing them, and so far, not helpful.

The Distracted Boyfriend meme, but their heads are now:
Guy - a wide-eyed cat
Girlfriend - a cat tree
Red dress woman - a Christmas tree
It's that time of year

Hmmm…what USAID wasn’t bad for America…what if getting rid of it only hurt us and everyone else?
What if the richest man in the world being responsible for ending aid to the poorest people in the world will go down as one of the most bizarre and disgusting acts of the 21st century?

Evolution
Molly Akin
One time I lost words. They slipped out and were buried under sand, finely ground, collected, disbursed. I waited. One time I lost sorrow; it slipped out and was buried under sand. Finely ground shells and bits of fur. One time my ancestors came walking out of the sea. They collected the bits of rock and bone and feather and fur and fashioned me.
Now I fly with open mouth, trailing words and shouting meaning: “Look at what I lost.” Another swoop, closer to the ground now: “Look at what I found.” Now tusks curl from my mouth. I charge at memory, tossing aside its fragile weight that once pined me hollow. Now I am the one who will turn and return, slipping gently into water.
what a piece today, from Molly Akin!!

A digital drawing of one of those drawing tutorials that says 'don't do this, do this.'
The drawing is of an almost naked middle-aged man doing a flying kick. The 'Don't do this' one has a bunch of areas circled and a cross under it. The 'Do this' one is exactly the same but without the circles and a tick instead of a cross.
The text reads 'Needlessly adding red circles will ruin your art' and a smaller bit of text at the bottom reads 'Bonus tip! Add a tick under all your art so people think you did it right.'
#3157 A helpful tutorial

I just got my hair cut by a woman who has us all beat. She owns the shop but she also works two hours a week bussing at a fancy hotel restaurant so she can get employee deals at fancy hotels.
And two days a week she slings bags for Delta so she can fly wherever she wants for free.
