Today I entered the "GOD DAMNIT YOU SH*T WORK FOR F*CKS SAKE" stage of commit messages.
Counterpoint: it's perfect for Ikea trips! Wherever you, or s/o, says "we need this" you continue with ".. But unfortunately it won't fit in the trunk" - thereby saving money and only buying what you _really_ need. It would, infact, be an investment!
Well deserved, and thank you for changing mine and others lives. From testing this new thing, thinking "why would I need a blue shell that can't do what cmd does" to career, titles, and lives built on and from PowerShell. An honor to have met you, and looking forward to do it again at @psconf.eu!
Agreed, but Azure DevOps tasks are written in typescript. I just use it to trigger PowerShell, but it's still needed..

The main issues I've had is as you say - node dependencies in Azure DevOps, and PowerShell changing static download links...
The issue with this is if you need to test something on multi os and versions. PITA to do locally. I have one of these actions published as well, for GitHub and Azure DevOps both, because another thing we created needed to be tested on 3 os's and 3 versions of PS (stable, lts, and preview)..

A dog in a basket. The dog in question is named sprocket and is from the fraggle rock puppet cartoon. I loved the fraggles when I grew up. Gobo was my idol, and trash heap was the funniest thing ever.. And I always wondered what the doozer buildings tastes like... Sugar I think. Like candy canes. I remember that one episode where the fraggles stopped eating the doozer buildings and it turned out the doozers wanted them to eat it so they could build new things. Such innocent wonderful times... Anyway, sprocket looks a lot like Eamon in the original posts picture.
Took me a while before i realized who Eamon(?) looked like.. it's Sprocket from the fraggles!
