Oh, she did not like the sound of that. The fear that had held her frozen broke when the man looked away and she lashed out, grabbing a fistful of that scarf and simultaneously throwing forward a knee into his crotch, letting out a snarl of her own. Renee didn’t fight, never had, but she had been to a women’s self-defense class or two since middle school and even without it, the obvious rang true: go for the soft spots.

Today's #WIPSnips- Renee doesn't know a lot about hand-to-hand combat, but there's a few obvious weak spots.
