Incredible essay! Whenever I've taught it, students have initially been resistant (for reasons I don't share but can at least understand), but as we get into what he means when he talks about "meaningless words" and how they are so very much a part of contemporary life, they turn around.
Was his threat to hold more related to wanting Noem gone or wanting answers to specific questions, maybe about FEMA (which he wasn't getting from Noem)?
