Ah gotcha! I responded in the PR but I think you want to define your theme vars as `inline`.
We renamed a bunch of CSS variable namespace in that release, so if you were adding a custom theme config before it might need some keys changed now. E.g. `--font-family-*` became `--font-*` etc. Kinda a last-minute change as we were getting ready for the beta release.
New Tailwind CSS beta release dropped 👀 We spent the past week polishing our Vite and PostCSS extensions and made them a ton faster. Definitely update if you're already on v4 beta!

- The new first-class Vite plugin as it's so much faster in dev mode
