That seems like a very platonic notion of how elections work, as if no voters are moved during a campaign. Have you also considered eg the LD polling and tactical intention figs? And have you seen any data on the effect of the existence and wide reach of strong, data-led tactical advice on turnout?
Combined progressive share was indeed more than double Reform’s, but there is strong evidence that tactical voters coalesced around Green (per @fwddem.com advice) - have you seen evidence to the contrary?
"The threat of a far-right government elected against the public will has made tactical voting more vital than ever. From the 2024 General Election to recent results in Caerphilly and Gorton & Denton, voters are proving they will put values over party labels to meet the moment. It is a tragedy of our voting system that we must vote strategically rather than sincerely - but until that system changes, tactical voting is our strongest shield against the right." - Tom de Grunwald, Director of Forward Democracy

If your priority is stopping Reform you need to know who to vote for to do it. This site has the answer. 👇🏻
Reform could gain another MP this Thursday. That's why we're urging Labour, Lib Dem, & other party supporters to lend their vote to the Greens this time in Gorton & Denton. We've carried out extensive research and it points to this being our best chance of stopping a very real threat from Reform.
We will be providing tactical voting advice for the Gorton and Denton by-election.
With an accuracy of 99.67% in the 2024 GE (stopreformuk.vote/results) we know people will trust us over biased party claims and questionable bar charts to help them Stop Reform.
“We’re the tactical vote to stop Reform!”
“No, we’re the tactical vote to stop Reform!”
If only there was an independent, unbiased, proven accurate tactical voting website to help voters in Gorton and Denton….

Started off a list earlier this week & struggled to find all the MPs that have actually set up profiles on Bluesky rather than just be on X. So built a little utility via TheyWorkForYou and Bluesky APIs to see if I could make it more comprehensive, so far I think I've found about 353

Will be great to catch him on tour via this webinar, tomorrow lunchtime tech.unions.org.uk
I want to read this book and for it to reach all the communities who need it.
If you want to keep the hard right out of UK government, and see PR in our lifetimes, this could be a critical resource.
Please support the crowdfunder and be part of making it happen.
Please support this if you can. Absent PR, some constituencies without a clear tactical vote will need primaries to ensure Reform UK are kept out. This is the How-to book...

Would love to talk with you about this - our sites are, together, the most cited tactical voting sites in the country.
We are covering by-elections every week; local and nationals in May every year; and of course every general election too.
*All* of the parties benefit (except RUK & Con)

Proud of the support the Forward Democracy team has given the voters of Caerphilly.
Their tactical voting was historic. Well
Plaid!

I appreciate how strongly you feel about that and articulate it. I may have been in the same camp.
Two things: would you rather a toddler tantrum on your plane or a cartoon you can’t hear above the air filter?
Also part of training that next generation involves co-watching content.
Pragmatism.
Proposal for news outlets:
Create a section below the fold or inner pages called ‘The Zone’ where you can put all the mad things that have been said.
Keep the front page for what is being done.
Congrats!
Nice spicy take and appreciate where you’re coming from but one of many issues is that toddlers might have something to say about that too…
Keep it sotto voce and use headphones when they’re old enough.
I’m sorry you have had to do this. But I agree, the humanity of ‘Tell Us Once’ is heartening.
Hmm, paste typo! Meant to say shame it’s largely reliant on the OS provider.
I’m finding the one sec app somewhat helpful, but rather clunky.
I’d really like more granular controls over what apps etc I can use on a smartphone, not unlike the Do Not Disturb settings but for my own usage rather than incoming! Shame that it’s largely reliant on the OS tothetinypod.comind of use case.
Also, I quite like the look of this thetinypod.com
Thanks for posting, I couldn’t make it there this morning but it was an incredible scene across Cambridge
