The little #PNW town I live in is not famous for *anything* except the "Piano Drop" in #DuvallWA associated with a Country Joe and the Fish concert in 1968.

People forget how purposefully slow the court can be, especially when it believes that the immediate harm is not permanent or extreme.
We obviously disagree on the harm done, but it's good to see the Supreme Court finally exercising a modicum of common sense.
No surprise on the dissenters.

I mean, though even with "good" insurance, I've probably paid more for dentistry work than almost any other body part...
Its almost always better to get that stuff taken care of *before* it hurts.
I've had a number of cavities taken care of and fortunately *none* of the teeth were ever in pain, even during the procedures (which were usually just really uncomfortable but not painful at all).
Yay modern dentistry.
Seeing the lightest of snow fall here in Duvall, WA. I think this is the first time I've seen snow fall since last winter (nearly a year).

Most outages you, as users, don't actually know about because everything is over-engineered for failure, fallbacks, compensation, and tons of monitoring.
Also, YT is made of many separate parts, where each one can fail without taking down other parts.
Oh yah. Tons of birds. There's an eagles nest in a tree in the middle of the river valley that is well known.
Oh man. So many raccoons here... mostly living, though they seem to get run over a lot.
Also we have opossums, wild bunnies, and of course bears (rarer), coyotes/foxes, mountain lions (er, I can't bring myself to call them cougars...), deer, etc. Not to mention the cows that get out sometimes...

Oh, and they do produce tons of sweet berries, and they do provide cover for rabbits and squirrels. So they aren't all bad!

There's a rock wall above the sidewalk on the street our house is on where the *roots* grow out between the rocks and grow thorny branches out above the sidewalk, making it treacherous, unchecked...

They are *ALL OVER* the place here.
There's no eradicating them around here as they literally cover empty lots and are underbrush for a lot of the forested land around here.
Mostly annoying, but the real problem is that they are *highly flammable*.
Things are totally busted and we're gonna have to rebuild some things from scratch. Legal doctrine, institutions, process/procedures/structure etc
It's an opportunity to do way better now that we know how existing structures have been hacked by extremists.
