I watch them openly praise cops and insist that any meaningful defense of neighbors is violence. I see them enforce dangerous security practices and harass people who look “out of place”.
They gatekeep access to crucial community resources by requiring everyone to perform white civility.
it’s incredibly unsettling to watch white liberals & leftists triumphantly appoint themselves the leaders of post-drawdown neighborhood organizing across the city while Black & brown folks quietly burn out from pushing them to be less racist and awful

Hearing from landlords that MPD has been canvassing property managers to advertise more foot policing and anti-homeless violence with the new presence.
about 30 people were arrested at whipple this morning for unlawful assembly, and many first hand reports say hennepin county sheriff's office were escalating. people were arrested when they were retreating, and people were knocked down by law enforcement
ICE was very active in Minneapolis today, they kidnapped multiple people. ICE didn't leave, the media has moved on but we are still under federal occupation.

They won't start with banning birth control. First they'll lie about it. Then dictate who can prescribe it, use it, fund it, in what forms, and for how long. Suddenly, your doctor won't call you back. I know this is what they'll do because it's what they're doing to transgender healthcare right now.
I'm not entirely sure how they did it, but they've completely cleared the streets around my office in Midtown #NYC.

Not calling anyone out but calibrate your messages to reflect two truths:
1. ICE is shifting their enforcement emphasis to the suburbs, exurbs and greater Minnesota.
2. ICE is still very much in the central cities.
I often think about the fact that if the FBI et al had not killed Fred Hampton, he would be 78 today. Younger than Jesse Jackson was. Must have felt strange to outlive many of your contemporaries by decades.

Haven Watch is the group that meets people who are being released from Whipple (usually because they were illegally detained), often without coats or phones or any way to get home.
The recalled tater tots were not in retail stores. These were distributed to food service clients, per this article. Household tots should be fine :)

I heard about a killing of a Black man in DC by US marshals on a call from someone in the neighborhood then saw it confirmed by the organization @harrietsdreams.bsky.social & here. A Black man in DC was killed by the state today. Make the same noise for him as for anyone else when we have his name.
