As we approach the final day of Chopped Tees, I wanted an opportunity to say my piece.
This will be a long thread, but it’s dedicated to people who seek truthful information. Apologies in advance.
While I constantly feel as if I’ve given up, and have failed, there is a lot more to it 1/

Thanks mate, that means a lot coming from someone who is blind. Will miss you.
Thank you to everyone who supported the journey—every customer, every collaborator, every message of support. It meant more than I can explain.
Obviously wish it hadn't have gone this way, but it is what it is.
So I chose peace of mind and family over wrestling with bureaucrats and broken monetary policy*. Chopped Tees has run its course.
(*That pun is for Pollock and Thurston)
Could I have fought through it? Probably. But doing so would have cost me too much time and energy—time I’d rather spend with my kids than constantly reacting to unstable policies and economic games.
Constant policy changes made planning, pricing, and logistics nearly impossible for a small business like ours.
On top of that, the ongoing volatility in currency exchange rates hit global print-on-demand especially hard. The margins stopped making sense.
After nearly a year of assessing the future of Chopped Tees, I’ve made the difficult decision to officially close the brand.
The business became harder to operate as global trade policy turned into a moving target—tariffs announced, delayed, walked back, then threatened again.
Due to the collapse of the Australian dollar, we have suspended our Australia and New Zealand store until further notice
We apologise for the inconvenience
I really wish I didn’t have to know about all this stuff, but here we are
No, we mean Mexico and China, as we import products into the US from those countries. We don’t import products from Canada into the US, so Canadian tariffs have no impact on us
As of now, we haven’t increased any prices since the Mexico and China tariffs have been implemented, however this is a very fluid situation that could change any day
If things change, expect a 25% price increase on some items in our United States store

In saying that you should check out the Pillars satin jacket (Ribera style). It’s a personal favorite of mine that I own chopped-tees.com/products/the...
While unlikely, I’ll keep it in mind. I went with genuine leather due to its durability ensuring the jacket will last most conditions without deterioration. We looked at faux leather but ultimately couldn’t sell it at much of a lower price, meaning it would be an expensive jacket that wouldn’t last
