It’s delightfully whacky stuff. I’m so glad it’s well-preserved. Thank you for sharing the photos.

Also worth noting for the ‘everything is online’ crowd that the numbers of archives being destroyed means that an increasing proportion cannot ever be online.
Your timeline told me it wanted some pictures from the delightful Wes Anderson show at the Design Museum In London

the state of public history, 2026:
with one eye on the Trump administration, NPS staff worries that describing the murder of an abolitionist "might denigrate the murderers"
the Trump administration is flying historic American documents around the country, and administration officials are asking you to pray for the pilots and plane
Probably some of the folks who profited off of Polymarket later.
I like that, a surreal and amusing idea which works grammatically too. There’s a bunch of Fish Crows in my neighborhood and I love to hear their chatter.
The Bayeux Tapestry up in lights at Piccadilly Circus! Tickets on sale from 1 July for the exhibition at the British Museum, opening in September. First chance in 1,000 years to see this iconic object back on British soil.
People keep telling me they're "not good enough to submit" - I say, we don't gatekeep skill levels.
Sure, I use the books to scout for artists to hire/forward projects to, but our goal is to *encourage people to celebrate nature*.
This is why I insist on having kid & amateur artists each season.
I’m so sorry you’re suffering through this infection & I hope the treatment goes well and you’ll feel much better soon.
Feb 25, 2026, Instagram post from transarchives: “NYC Trans Archives. We are looking for: Photography & Art; Posters & Signs; Zines & Poetry; News articles & magazines. Info@transarchives.org. TransArchives.org/acquisitions.”
#NYC Trans Archives is a “new, independent, community-based archive dedicated to trans liberation and social justice.” Expanding their collections, they’re seeking: photos, art, posters, signs, #zines, news articles, magazines, and more. 🏳️⚧️ transarchives.org/acquisitions/ #activism #archives #LGBTQIA
I folded zines last night for my kids' classes and watched this documentary on book bannings. Wanted to pass it along.
I was going to say both.

The Smithsonian’s Natural History Museum had a forensic anthropology exhibition a few years ago & included the skull of a young man who had a tooth infection that ate away part of his jaw. What a horrifying way to die.

Business card of the New York Pigment Co.
NYC artists: Kremer Paints - the fascinating German store on W 29th that had all sorts of historical pigments hand-made from minerals and plants using ancient recipes - is gone. I was in mourning until I discovered today that a longtime employee is continuing the business as NY Pigment Company.
Incredible.
The McKinsey & Co. approach.

All of these images of the interior of the Johns-Manville Building, a pavilion at the 1939 NY World's Fair are made by Generative AI, and they've been shared across the internet. It didn't take long to make that determination that they are fake--but that's not the point.
Here's my story on @nyamakop.co.za's Relooted, a game with the gotta-go-faster impulses of Trials but a heartfelt and emotional story at its core about reclaiming stolen African artifacts. www.cbc.ca/news/enterta...
🥬😂
I’ll put it on my calendar. Congratulations on having a solo gallery show! 🎉
An abstract black & white print of a poster announcing an exhibition by Gordon Onslow Ford. The print has circles, straight lines and scratchings which somewhat resembles an overhead view of a landscape with trees and paths.
I like this! It almost looks like a collage, but it’s a drawing, I think? It reminds me of this poster I have by Gordon Onslow Ford.

I love DC for all the amazing feee museums and the low cost shared bicycles and ever growing protected bike lanes. After weeks of rare frozen weather it was fun going to the national mall the to the orchid show at African American museum! No bikes today but soon the ice will melt away🍒
A naturally formed small snow and ice sculpture with 3 horizontal tiers, looking somewhat like a house designed by Frank Lloyd Wright.
I’m glad the snow and ice in the DMV is melting now and probably most of it will be gone next week when the temperatures will be warmer. In the meantime there are still marvels to be seen, like this multi-tiered snow & ice formation that resembles Frank Lloyd Wright’s Falling Water house a bit.
Girls don’t want flowers for Valentine’s Day.
They want you to book them a shark research experience that raises money for science outreach!
I can help. Let’s chat.
