Meta is dropping encrypted messages from Instagram DMs from 8 May.

This means that your all private conversations will be readable by Meta, shareable with advertisers, and subpoenable by courts.

Quick reminder: the proportion of private schools which are fully funded or overfunded by the state is officially 98%. The proportion of public schools of which the same is true is 2%. This was a couple of years ago so it's definitely gotten worse.
