I donβt wanna be at work I wanna play Ninja Gaiden 2β¦
Why, Koei. Why
Itβs a nice change of pace after sinking so much time into NGB. Its so much easier by comparison
Restarted NG2 with a fresh save file. Not new game + with every weapon and ninpo available (but at base stats) just a new game. Three missions in and I have Lunar at max level and Dragon Sword at level 2 of 3, and Iβve got nearly enough essence to max it out in mission 3. This game is hype

It's probably already too late to stop people from missing the point but the essentialist views most have on art are the real fuel to the generative crisis. They think you're performing a magic trick and willingly ignore the developmental aspects to actually get from point A to point B.
So many options so little time
Iβm convinced that divination is a required skill in order to beat those games
I worry that having level 3 weapons and abusing UTs will make the game a cakewalk. Maybe itβs only an OP strategy on normal mode idk
Woolly! Oc commission, had a lot of fun with the colors and background!
Iβm definitely going to commit to a replay of this. Possibly before finishing Master Ninja difficulty in NGB. I think I need to get more comfortable with Very Hard difficulty before I can attempt a Master Ninja run.
Goes double for the aforementioned water dragon. If you stay on the platform it basically canβt hit you and it dies in less than a minute. If you fall off the platform then uh lol lmao die idiot
The boss battles being designed around βthey melt your health but you melt theirsβ is an interesting choice. Not crazy about it. I get that the levels are long but Iβd prefer to have a well constructed boss fight that I can savor. Drunken Skeleton is too fun to be over that quickly
I also already had a level 3 scythe because of new game plus so that mightβve colored my opinion a bit
So after a brief revisit of the two werewolves in venice levels I can say that the game isnβt quite as hard as I remembered but Team Ninja still owes everyone an apology for the water dragon boss fight
The PS Store using screenshots from only the fixed camera moments of Forbidden Siren 1 is an absolutely diabolical move for a game that filters so many people (itβs me Iβm people). Incredible games if you have the patience for them
@pharmacyfruitbat.bsky.social when are we getting around to the DMC games
I should replay DMC sometime because even when though it was frustrating in that special Kamiya way and Iβve put so much more time into DMC4, the first one has something about it that really stands out in my mind
DMC2βs story feels especially threadbare and inconsequential because in better games thatβs more than enough to provide context for the gameplay but DMC2 has no gameplay
Iβve said it before but it bears repeating. Itβs crazy how good everything about DMC2 is that isnβt the gameplay or story, and the worst thing about the story is that itβs threadbare and inconsequential which could just as easily be said about better games
I may play NG3 Razorβs Edge someday just because I love a good kick in the teeth but I will not play 4. I refuse.
Discovering that the big man himself was responsible for doing the mocap for this boss made the experience of fighting it way more enjoyable
Iβm more curious to retry it now because of an interview with Itagaki where he essentially states that it was closer to what he had wanted NGB to be. If nothing else, Iβm sure iβll still find it as endearing as I did before.
Also considering a replay of NG2 to see if it would test my patience like it did the last time. It streamlined the experience so much I felt something was lost but I sometimes think I should give it another try without comparing it to NGB as much as I did before
was talking in a fg server and i think ive come to the conclusion that the way Ranked Mode is presented in damn near every fighting game in the online era is like, actively toxic and a major contributor to not only scaring away people from the genre but also engendering toxicity within the fgc
