a few hours later kinich wakes up on the beach and is like "what the fuck happened." he still returns the next day (13/13)
and it really would have been a waste of time. and the idea of not seeing kinich again made his heart feel heavy in a way he wasn't used to. he gets really frustrated and doesn't know how to process what he's feeling. (12/13)
yes that's it, it would have been a waste of all the time he spent courting him, and his time is so very important! he wants to play with him, make him scared! but then he thinks about if kinich really got scared and left, never returned to the beach, then he'd never have him, (11/13)
but it didn't feel like a victory because he stopped and he was scared. why was he scared! it frustrated ajaw, he didn't understand his feelings. he did a lot of mental gymnastics trying to reason with himself. he settled on the logic that it would be a waste to kill kinich so quickly (10/13)
back in his den ajaw is heavily contemplating why the fuck he stopped and didn't kill kinich, and especially why he felt so scared. it was supposed to feel like a victory! he finally won, he finally conquered kinich. kinich liked him, he wanted him! it felt good to be wanted! (9/13)
and while kinich is still out of it, ajaw swims him back to shore. he leaves kinich on the beach and swims away, shaken. (8/13)
