I think part of his point is that the catastrophic earthquake and subsequent tsunami was more devastating than the problems of the Nuclear Power plant. I think you should recognise the basic truth of that, though clearly the plant failure was a big deal. Soviet era nuclear is a different case.

πŸ“¦ 2.6 MILLION emergency food parcels were provided across the UK in 2025
πŸ‘Ά 912,216 of these were for households with children
πŸ“ˆ That’s still 45% higher than pre-pandemic levels

Inflation is easing, but hardship isn’t. This isn’t right - and it doesn’t have to be this way.

And of course the Liberal Democrats remain an option, they still hold far more seats than the Greens or Reform added together.

Murder, which is your subject, is at least the same in any dictionary. Even when it's cause is as careless as Trump.

The English language is a bastard isn't it. We Brits use defence, Murcans use defense, but only defensive is a correct spelling, no defencive in any dictionary! But Tomahawk is spelt the way it is because that's what Raytheon the manufacturer named it!

5/ And on the Strait of Hormuz, they had NO PLAN. I can't go into more detail about how Iran gums up the Strait, but suffice it say, right now, they don't know how to get it safely back open.

Which is unforgiveable, because this part of the disaster was 100% foreseeable.

This very straight news piece buried deep within the FT never uses words like corruption or insider dealing but every detail is quietly devastating. Why is the FT virtually alone in the UK media in covering this important story?

George W. Bush may not have been the sharpest tool in the shed, but he knew enough not to disrespect our military or their families.

Then there's Convicted Felon Donald Trump. A narcissistic sociopath, who couldn't care less about our troops.

Sen. Coons: The clearest winner from this war in Iran is Russia. It's stunning that Trump is on the phone with Vladimir Putin and spending more time consulting with him than he is with Congress and the American people.

In today’s game of Make Millions With Market Manipulation:

1. Energy Secretary posts that a tanker has been safely escorted through Hormuz.
2. Oil price falls 10%, friends buy.
3. Energy Secretary deletes post.
4. Oil price rises 12%, friends richer.

Thank you for playing, see you all tomorrow.

There's a bunch of Chevening Scholars in my Masters classes and they massively enrich it. Impressive people and also so obviously wedded to going back and improving their own countries.

Shocking from Senator Chris Murphy who suggests Israel made the US attack Iran,

"How weak are we if our allies can force us into wars bad for our interests"

Here’s a quick factcheck on tomahawks, so you have it:

The only countries aside from US who have access to Tomahawks are:

Current Operators: United Kingdom (Royal Navy) and Australia (Royal Australian Navy).

Future Operators: Japan (2024) and the Netherlands (2025).

The worst cabinet in American history And it's not even close.

"In his second term, Trump knew exactly what he wanted and who could give it to him. In many cases, that meant not just a weak choice but literally the worst possible choice, the person guaranteed to do maximal harm. In short, we have never seen quite this collection of clowns, cranks, and crooks."

Can anyone explain to me what the Blue Labour justification for this is? Who out there will vote Labour because Mahmood prevented a Sudanese Chevening Scholar? And to be honest, why won’t the PM simply overrule her?

WALLACE: Why are we at war with Iran?

CHRIS MURPHY: Great question. The simplest explanation might be the one they gave 24 hours in that they've kind of tried to backtrack from since -- that Israel made us do it.
