A crucial win for Liverpool to move into the top five and you shouldn't sniff at any 5-2 victory in this league, but it's strange how unconvincing they looked at times and have done during an improved run of form. Impossible to predict how this season ends.

I didn’t think they played well vs Manchester City, apart from 30 minutes. I think the 10-game trend is positive and heading in the right direction. It’s just pointless getting too high or too low on this stuff. Let’s see.
There have still been plenty of bumps recently, but Liverpool are starting to produce better performances with a little more regularity now. A long way to go before anyone is certain a corner has been turned, but this was another encouraging one to keep the FA Cup journey going.
