This zine is for anyone wanting to learn more about the Holocaust, how genocides happen, and our responsibility to each other as humans. It also aims to honor Hester, who was one of the most incredible humans I've ever met. She was a trans ally, a mahjong fiend, and a good friend. I miss her.
As I promised ages ago, I have now added a FREE download to my site of my #zine Story of a Survivor: Hester Waas, which recounts my grandmother's childhood during the Holocaust. She survived in hiding, which was both a blessing and its own struggle. If you'd like a physical copy, that's up too ($4).

look ima need white people to stop explaining to me that every white dude is prone to get obvious Nazi tattoos in their 20s. the shit is not true. I know plenty of white military dudes who didnt get Nazi tattoos. This is not a widespread phenomenon.

Anyway, any time William Joseph Martin comes up, I think about his book Exquisite Corpse, which is the most fucked up book I've ever read (positive. I think). When Oscar Wilde said "There is no such thing as a moral or immoral book," he didn't know it yet, but he was talking about Exquisite Corpse.
