but overall I'd say for the lighting, the cast shadows are pretty weak on your pic. As a general rule, most values that are in the shadows should never read as lighter than any of the colors in the light. Don't be afraid to increase the shadow depth a bit, saving the darkest portions for occlusion.

So taking time to lasso select different color regions before color shifting to have a more natural color helps a ton. In general with multiply or screen blend layers it can be way too easy to go too far with the saturations, so don't be afraid to tone them back their saturations just a bit!

Gotcha! So when it comes to lighting like this, one thing that I found helps a ton is making sure to tweak blend mode layers to match the flats they are getting added to. When folks use 1 color for a multiply/darken or a screen/lighten it can tend to mix up the temperatures of the colors.

Ikarus 692 Airport Bus -- basically a bus with a front end that elevates to become an enclosed staircase to the plane

unsure what the model number is, but the entire front of the bus opens up and a staircase extends out of it.

just learned about these (prototype?) airport buses from the 80s, i believe all from the Serbian (then Yugoslavian) company Ikarus

Posted on LinkedIn last night, woke up to several hundred notifications, friends requests, etc. Seems I struck a nerve in the industry by saying I wanted to create my own projects and not be at the sway of execs.

Like for example at the moment, I'm sort of feeling like my color work is a bit off or has been getting too saturated lately, so I'll be doing some real life studies over the next few weeks to help reign in my color work a bit!

It's more than fine! Like for my example, I tend to do 2 focused traditional study sessions on my lunch breaks Mon/tues. Will be stuff like figure studies or anatomical breakdowns. Then on thursdays I tend to do digital studies on things I need work on.
