(I might be mistaken about Midnight, Ive been going slow and havent left Eversong forest yet, and avoid spoilers for new expansions)

Dragonflight, War Within, and Midnight are very linear in the zones you visit, but you can just stick with the main quest and progress quickly through them

The past few expansions theyve had the Main Storyline quests marked differently than side quests, with the quest log showing a zone's storyline progress. Basically took inspiration from Final Fantasy.
