I have very tentatively added BlueSky to my home screenβ¦ so maybe there will be thoughts coming for 2026 π
And just like that, winter slipped awayβ¦ βοΈ

I am considering promoting the app to my home screen tbh... but also not sure I want to go back to being as chronically online as I was prior to the demise of the other place π
it's official: trains are cool.
Been a while, BlueSky. π Just coming in to say: the cinematography of the original Lord of the Rings trilogy still blows me away and I am thoroughly enjoying my rewatch.
Rail Adhesion Train 710, formed of converted D78 stock, heads north for Watford, whilst Transplant training train 765, formed of battery locomotives L31 and L28, waits time in the siding. An S8 stock working a Metropolitan line service for Aldgate approaches in the background.
Our latest Picture of the Month comes from @jcmg.io, taken from the signal cabin at Harrow on the Hill. Rail Adhesion Train 710 heads north, whilst Transplant training train 765 waits time in the siding.
The competition for February is open now on our Discord - discord.onourlines.co.uk.
Love that staff taxi lifeβ¦
(And yes, we have a βthis show needs workβ review pod coming today, βcos I practice what I preach.)
Iβll take your βgoodβ reviews far more seriously if you sometimes go βthis wasnβt for meβ, and you explain why.
If every single review you write is βgoodβ it devalues every review you write or publish on your site. Not every show is good. Not every show is great. Itβs okay to not like shows by big names or with big names.
Sure βit has potentialβ but tell us what isnβt working. Tell us what that potential is. If youβre actually trying to sell a show to people you need to be honest about why it doesnβt work or why youβre using βit has potentialβ as a euphemism for βit needs workβ.
The theatre reviewing βcommunityβ really needs to grow a spine. Not every show has to be βgreatβ, a review isnβt simply rehashing a press release and itβs fine to say that things need more work AND THEN BE EXPLICIT about what the work is.
Had some fun with the brand account yesterday to celebrate the release of 1989 (Taylorβs Version). Which other MT characters would be massive Swifties? Let @overstudies.co.uk know!
Called it the day the TTN was published π HWP has been the bane of my life for well over a year now, because managers canβt manage.
It was only a matter of time. Absolute joke tbh - canβt wait for my meeting on this with senior management in a fortnight.
Yesterday started in Leeds at 6am, arrived in Swanage at 1pm, & eventually ended in Reading at 8pm.
An overwhelming & exhilerating rollercoaster from start to finish. One that I wouldn't have missed for the world.
Esp. with @jarley.bsky.social & @dlpb.bsky.social for company. π

Also, βshinigamiβ is a word designed for MT
Itβs a week since our @overstudies.bsky.social pod on Death Note dropped and itβs still a soundtrack living rent free in my head. All of the classical musical theatre tropes intertwined with a modern sound and style: a rock opera for the current generation. This show is one to watch.
Canβt decide whether to put BlueSky or Threads on my homescreen; whichever one wins will see me return to my The Artist Formerly Known As Twitter era π
Get yourself a best friend like @bekkirichardson.bsky.social who sorts GUTS tickets π«Άπ»π
This is actually really exciting ngl

Got a Katherine Howard βfit done for my BBQ, but it got delayed by HMRC.
So instead I cut about London for a few hours with Shona and we grabbed these epic snaps instead. π

Part two because you can only share four images here apparently.
I had some of my favourite people round for a BBQ a couple of weeks ago to round out my 30th celebrations. It was musical theatre themed and it was so much fun! I, obviously, went as the OG β¨mythic bitchβ¨ herself Heather Chandler.
