This was the only movie I was not allowed to watch as a tv (I watched all sorts of way way more upsetting stuff). When I finally saw it about 19-20, I was very confused as a teen could handle it
There are well-recorded cases of Canada & America inducing starvation & then explicitly mocking Indigenous peoples for not wanting to starve.
