Iβm still a diehard Westworld fan. As a teen I read everything possible I could get my hands on by Michael Crichton.
Oh thatβs excellent! I love genealogy so much :D
My wife is conducting research for a workshop about those of you who like to thrift/shop for vintage clothing. She needs to get 100 people in her dataset, and I would appreciate it if you would take 5 minutes to fill our her survey! Pass it on to your friends who love vintage!

That was one of my coworkerβs first cars! Man I loved that little thing, it was a trooper.
I took my actual driving test in an 89 Mercury Tracer we affectionately called The Puddlejumper
I learned to drive stick on a β31 Model A Ford. π
True, I am lucky I get to look out on it every day!
A field covered with snow
Lousy Smarch weather.
Hey, this is BAD. :(
Ahh yes, moving. Well known for being a cheap, easy and stress free thing you can do whenever you feel like it. π
@crobertcargill.bsky.social The majority of the team members (Unite HERE Local 11 and IATSE B-192) in the park at Universal Studios Hollywood are deep in contract negotiations and things are not going well. Weβre having a rally at CityWalk tomorrow. Weβd love the support of anyone who can join us.
As of tonight, licenses of trans people across Kansas are being invalidated en masse, enabling the overnight criminalization of an entire group of people for going about our lives. Itβs often said you never know when youβre living through history, so let me assure you: thatβs whatβs happening now.
Yesterday I saw a black sedan rear end a dark red SUV at a stoplight. Today, at the same intersection, I saw another little black car rear end a dark red SUV! If I see it happen tomorrow Iβm going to try asking the computer for a different holodeck program, because this one is too stressful! π
Awwwww hooray!!!! π₯°
A friend of mine has a wonderful doctor named Dr. Medic. :)
If it at all helps, after texting HAIL THE GLOW SNAIL! to my friends, my brain immediately had the following conversation with itself:
βCommander, it appears that weβre being hailedβ
βOn screen!β
βIs..that a glowing snail?β π
A rather large snail garden ornament with a glowing shell.
A blue garden shelf filled with various pots, and on the bottom sits a large snail garden ornament with a glowing shell
I went to Homegoods in hopes of finding something fun and ridiculous for my garden. ALL HAIL THE GLOW SNAIL
Hunh! I thought they still did letter of the day several years ago, I still get the song stuck in my head :D
Thereβs going to be Covid style shortages of cars, TVs and even washing machines and fridges, then job losses because assembly lines canβt source solid state memory, just so the stupidest person you know can state with 100% confidence a chatbot confirmed dinosaurs coexisted with humans.
Oh nooo, what a colossal headache :/
Agreed - I think anything that was born from post 9/11 fear should be (at minimum) reevaluated.
My favorite part of the Olympics this year is the high pitched wind whistling by the drones. It sounds like a coven of witches shrieking at the athletes from the mountain peaks.
Oh wow, this is so good.
ON IT π«‘
You see the same thing happening in βpro lifeβ groups where they latch on to and exploit women who regret abortions. Itβs so cruel to use someone who is in pain like that to hurt others. :(
My favorite thing about bsky is how someone will post something funny or cute, and within the same thread you can also come across people passionately sharing interesting things that they are well versed in. Itβs like being at a mixer with the best funny nerds, and I love it.
What a great thread! I learned so much :)
Brothers Osborne, a popular country group. They were super nice guys. :)
