I hit day 16 in Oc-tober btw. and do intend to finish the other 15 when health stabilizes (tbh today is the first in awhile I feel functional enough to sit down and tackle it… and we gotta!! Mara is next and I refuse to forget about our demon mommy 😭❤️‍🔥)

algorithms can affect engagement. it’s a little weird, but there’s some pschyhology behind it. but ye for this case it’s end of year dip (same can happen when school/etc starts for many) and people are burnt out as hell—can’t speak for everyone, just consensus among my circles. very frustrating, ye

none makes it less crappy, but does make me think it’s more platform+burnout

what I’ve seen, folks don’t have the energy. climate around parts of the world; this seems #1 reason—friends explain why they don’t engage as much. some are more into activism; morale low; working double to afford to live.

absolutely. they have to keep some typo on magic the gathering cards iirc? could be wrong. but made me think, that there are legality issues when it comes to improper branding. (not sure about coca-cola branding policies tho—but in general, sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen for someone)

not that I’m choosing this; I’m normally really social. It isn’t 100% rigged against me—if you don’t put the work in, then it won’t happen. Doesn’t make the -reason- why I can’t put the work in fair, or assures clear victory against the algorithm, but it’s illogical to expect more.

it isn’t even about the engagement. Honestly, I wish I was motivated by fame & funds. I think they can be excellent forms of motivation and self-confidence.

+ if I can’t engage with others, I don’t have expectations. The art industry is awful right now, so we need to foster more mutual support

it’s ME projecting—what I feel like I “should” be drawing; that mindset ruined me for years

(getting more asking on not only “attractive” or nsfw, others as well. All are great, and I appreciate the interest. but several long stories that spell out trauma—I’m reserved on doing commissions anymore)

need a better grasp on things like taxes, business practices, website building, improving analytics, all that

it’s so hard to keep up professionally. tho, silly memes/non-art get do fine; “sexier” pieces too. but as a traumatized ace, it throws me for a loop. I still draw it (Hazel, hi😳), but yeah.

not happy with Patreon either. been running mine since about 2015 grandfathered into lighter fees. there’s benefits, but the larger issues 👎

now $100+ appt at the end of the month I can’t skip. Another group/Dr, at least. I’ve already prolonged this longer than I should’ve allowed

not terminal, just morally/bodily degrading. life’s so short—can’t keep losing more or living for others. self-sufficiency to function eats time and energy.

No health insurance, so, it’s a headache (there’s a couple reasons why I can’t get it or disability)

The clinic won’t take my Patreon proof of income anymore. Sliding-scale cost $30➡️$125. visit rushed, info missing, just be told a thing I learned few days prior on my own. also they mischarged $180🙃

Health+weather shifts+med adjustments+life is…💀. no appetite for months, weight’s dropping, sleep is very poor, immune system low, chronic pain up, etc

sickness caused infections. took a month to be seen by my GP; tho mostly recovered by then. It was humiliating and stressful, tbh
