Dibs!
Has anyone claimed the moonstone?
Cool. Can you point me in the right direction to sign up? Sorry - new to this.
Would a forensic geoscience consultant (me) be of interest to people do you think?
Photo of two books. This Way Up by Mark Cooper-Jones and Jay Foreman on the left and A City on Mars by Kelly and Zach Weinersmith on the right.
I have read both of these twice now. I like them both quite a lot (except I skip the Donner party chapter in This Way Up. I just canβt find any humor in that. Grew up knowing the story.)
Want more books like this - informative, humorous and deep enough to keep my brain engaged.
Forecast showing Monday thru Wednesday going from lows of 43 to highs in the 60s the the temperature dropping to lows in the mid 20s and snow on Saturday.
Oh for peteβs sake would the weather please cut it out!
This is a good analogy. Very useful in carefully controlled settings for specific usages, but unfortunately being widely inserted into everything and used without training or PPE and poisoning a lot of things and people and weβre going to pay a tonne of money to remove it safely in the future
When someone says βScientists do not want you to knowβ you can dismiss everything from there on. Scientists want you to know. They are desperate that you know. They canβt shut up about what they found out and want you to know.
I keep midnight buying board games to play with my daughter. They take up to much space. But I can play them with my daughter. At least I am avoiding the insanely expensive ones. And it is a nice change from stress buying too many books I guess.
White car parked outside decorated like the Ghostbusters car down to tiny no ghosts icons on the wheels
This is parked outside and I am amused.
I really should not have looked at Bluesky. This hasnβt helped my insomnia at all. Damn.
Thank you!
Thank you
βοΈI need some volcano book recommendations for a budding geoscience undergraduate. Looking for approachable and engaging recentish stuff.
And I had forgotten how awful the ending Tattoo jokes could be. Good grief.
Agreed. I was so startled that you were watching the same show we were I had to say something.
I had not expected them to go all in on 'the Pilgrims were awful.'
OMG we are watching that right now too. We have been focused on how weird it is to see Radar without his glasses. Fantasy Island is so strange - I remember suffering through Love Boat so I could watch it though.
The FCC just opened public comments on SpaceX's plan to launch a million satellites to do AI compute in space. Under the current proposal, an environmental review won't be required. Please consider submitting a public comment to oppose this damaging plan.

I adore that. Thank you!
Don't worry, he's been fixed.
I am never going to get over the fact thar so many Americans died that corpses stacked up in nursing homes and hospital morgues, that refrigerator trucks had to be brought in for the overflow, and that the big takeaway from Important Pundits is there should have been *less* mitigation.
Cut this shit off. No subsidies for βA.i.β
Orange cat curled up kinda upside down stretching his foreleg on a dark green blanket. He has a red spring toy in the middle of his curl next to his belly.
May you have happy moments of zen with your inner spring like this fuzzy guy. Happy Caturday.
Do you mean March 25? or ten days from now, February 25?
Done! I am really excited. The last ring I had that fit was sawed off when I broke my wrist and havenβt found anything that fit since.
Thank you!
Yay! Dibs. I would like both.
We have lucked out I love the laboradoite and emerald. Question is can I afford them.
Anything in the 12 or 13 range femme?
