I can't just buy a licence once, I can't just install the software and have it work, it doesn't just sit there and do its thing without trying to talk to OneDrive and Copilot and whatever else, it hasn't innovated in a helpful way.
What value?

I'd probably look at Federations and Galactic Paragons next then (if only because they are likely to have lower prices than Machine Age, which is more recent).

What do you enjoy playing? Or want to see more of? I'm a machines fan myself, so Synthetic Dawn expanding into Machine Age would be relatively sound.

Galactic Paragons boosts leader/council stuff. Federations or Nemesis if you like diplomacy or the other thing.

I recently saw someone point out that the people chasing AGI are incredibly obsessed with creating an intelligent and conscious slave, one that's aware of being a slave.

And that has just been living rent free in my mind ever since.
