Second work in my new "Complicit" series.

The title refers to the buyer's role in the work. Unsold, these prints mean nothing. Only at the moment of purchase the text becomes true, and the work becomes art. The buyer does not acquire a finished piece. The buyer finishes it and is complicit.

I honestly believe that when you want something, really really want something, it should hurt a bit to buy it. So that is factored in. This work should give you a little bang of hurt every time you look at it.

Saw this work by Yves Klein today. Never thought I'd be impressed by a monochrome painting. But it was pretty intense.

And of course this image does it no justice at all.

A few years back, I made a number of wood engravings. Black mdf wood, engraved with my laser cutter and the lines manually filled with a custom oil+pigment mix.
