I guess my feeling is if the content really is good, hire a sales manager and the advertisers will follow.
Maybe I'm too much a cynic now, but it's hard for me to pay attention to any journalist/influencer/whatever's words when they're immediately followed by "Subscribe to my..." I just write it off as alarmist and opportunistic. If it's so important, why do I need to buy something to know more about it?
Re: Discord - The chickens were going to come to hatch on this eventually, and I would expect *all* social media platforms to follow in due course. Frankly, I don't know what the better solve is against age verification. Do you want to try and keep children away from harmful people/things or not?
