Last night's event in Ottawa was electric. More than 800 people in the warm and resonant Dominion-Chalmers Centre.
We're bringing New Democrats together, building the vision, strategy, and ground game for the next election.
Voting begins on March 9. Don't delay. Help us finish strong in Winnipeg.
Really incredible energy in Ottawa last night for Team @avilewis.ca. A different world is possible. Our love is an infinite thing.
Graphic with bold text on an orange background: Rebuild our party! JOIN TODAY.
Together, we can build the biggest tent the NDP has ever seen: a true party of the 99%. Our party’s best days are still ahead of us.
Join us: https://lewisforleader.ca/
Graphic. Headline: Our Path to Victory: The Big Tent. Body text: Build power in the suburbs. Reconnect in rural, remote and Northern communities. Build a second orange wave in Québec. Empower the next generation by trusting our young members.
It is not enough to win elections: we must win change itself.
We will win by building a broad coalition once again. We will stand shoulder to shoulder with labour and social movements and be a party of the many.
Graphic. Headline: Build Power to Win Change and Elections. Body text: Year-round organizing. Improve volunteer trainings. Nominate candidates early. Demand electoral reform and a Citizen’s Assembly on Electoral reform.
Our power is rooted in people. To compete with our political opponents, our party needs to prioritize organizing and training.
We will build power through a renewed culture of organizing and community building.
Graphic. Headline reads: Make Membership Matter. Body text: Empower members and riding associations. Make policy development more democratic. Strengthen commissions. Improve internal communications. Fundraise with respect and gratitude.
To grow our party, we need to build trust again. And to do that, we need to trust the party’s grassroots first, and let them lead our party from the ground up.
Graphic with bold text on an orange background, with a "Lewis for Leader" logo below: A Political Instrument of the People.
The NDP has a rich history in Canadian politics. We were born out of a movement of farmers, trade unionists, and feminists in an era where fascism was rising and social solidarity was essential.
Today, we are releasing our plan to once again make the NDP the Political Instrument of the People.
GRAPHIQUE : Mobiliser tous azimuts.

And worse: hundreds of civilians have already been killed in the all-out bombardment of dense urban areas like Tehran.
Musing about sending Canadians to fight and die in this carnage is unreal. You’re talking about Canadians being asked to participate in likely war crimes.
No one voted for this!
1/ PM Carney: you can and must categorically rule out participation in this illegal war.
Your unqualified support of Trump and Netanyahu’s war was bad enough. It’s unconscionable that you’re now considering putting Canadian forces in harm’s way.
The Northern Community Land Trust’s Project 1086 in Whitehorse is proof that when we kick corporate developers and real estate speculators out of the equation, we can build permanently affordable homes and restore housing as a human right for everyone.
youtu.be/91sBuzBEUGU?...
3/ Prime Minister Carney should drop the doublespeak he’s using to cover his complicity with Trump and Netanyahu. And he should come out clearly with the majority of Canadians and his own party who oppose it.
2/ Here’s the truth: US-led regime change wars have brought devastation to the region. Democracy and stability will never come through foreign intervention and indiscriminate bombing.
1/ The initial response to the war is in: Canadians are not on side with the illegal US-Israeli strikes on Iran. Nearly half of us — including a supermajority of NDP and Liberal voters — are firmly opposed.

Last week, we held a critical conversation on Canada’s complicity in the ongoing genocide in Palestine. Despite the supposed ‘ceasefire,’ Gaza is still being starved, bombed, and invaded by Israel in real time with the support of Canadian-made weaponry.
Three endorsement cards with portraits of Min Sook Lee, Liz Marshall, and Daniel Cross endorsing Avi Lewis for NDP leader.
Min Sook Lee endorses Avi Lewis for NDP leader. Quote: “Avi Lewis understands how power shapes the stories we see, and how independent media can challenge the narratives that normalize the status quo. Privatization and monopolies dominate Canada’s media sector. I know I can count on Avi to disrupt that concentration of power so we can build a media landscape that is more critical and alive.”
Liz Marshall endorses Avi Lewis for NDP leader. Quote: "We need an elected leader who understands the value and significance of Canada's national artform, and will fight to protect the legacy of our publicly funded documentary industry. Avi knows firsthand that our films are critical tools in upholding truth and democracy.”
Daniel Cross endorses Avi Lewis for NDP leader. Quote: "There has never been a more important time than now to directly re-engage Canadians, ignite our activism, challenge big money, and empower our communities to be the bastions of socially engaged and concerned politics. Avi clearly has the support of Canada’s documentary community through his hard work, excellent results and leadership."
What a joy to be endorsed by 3 of Canada’s most principled documentary filmmakers.
We have a rich documentary tradition in Canada, one we must cherish and FUND.
Artists like Min Sook, Liz, and Daniel build deep trust with their subjects, embed themselves in movements, and tell stories with heart.
On se voit demain, Ottawa !
See you tomorrow, Ottawa!
2/ Canadians don’t want to be part of this axis of aggression and impunity, AI-targeted assassinations, and the blatant killing of civilians.
We want our country to be a voice for peace.
Thumbnail of an Instagram reel. It has a photo of Mark Carney speaking at a podium, edited to appear in front of smoke plumes amid a city. The text reads: "I'm all for international law 'theoretically'".
1/ This is utterly incoherent.
What Canadians need to hear from our Prime Minister right now is simple: call for a ceasefire and immediately withdraw your misguided support for Trump and Netanyahu’s illegal war.
