People just show up, filing into the abandoned abattoir or sex dungeon or wherever, though most do not stay past the 18 hour mark. It takes incredible endurance, and possibly a streak of masochism to sit through 24 hours of clipart. The ones who stay until JROBRTS2 appears are part of an exclusive club, and the cheers and catcalls are directed as much to themselves as to the woman on the screen.

Here's a full-res crop of a photo remastered from the original film showing perhaps the clearest view of the make-up of the LRV's wheels in their operating environment.
Electric cars in 1972. And it folds. And it's not on Earth.

In this image a shot during landing of Nasa Perseverance from the perspective of the rover. The heat shield was already released and it's visible at the centre of the image. In the background the rim of the Jezero Crater and its delta. Colours assigned are from the dark of the more external atmosphere layers to the rusty red of the red planet surface.
