Pixel art is fun but I am not looking forward to figuring out how to do the side sprites lol
I also got lazy when drawing them and now have to figure out how to separate their palettes for individual sprite sheets

I was working on upgrading my February 2021 project with the interface of a 2023 project, but i got distracted after finally figuring out how to have a font at a higher resolution than the game, so that's neat

I have no idea how the battle system didn't break while recording that, but I've recently learned that messy but functional code is better than pretty but non-functional code
I think maybe instead of continuing to try to make something brand new and unique, I should probably focus on remaking my first (actually functional) prototype in Godot 4.6 and go from there
At this point in development, a working demo is better than a pretty demo
Even in this concept, it feels like despite trying to simplify my battle system, things just get too complicated. It's cool to give each party member a unique gimmick, but a simple idea like dice-based skills can spiral out of control if you're not careful
Just gotta start with the absolute basics
