I got *extremely* lucky with my situation: about 1/2 my team was already in Europe (so I'm in the same position), and I knew some basic German from high school and college requirements. That said, this took a while — I started the process of getting my company to move me in April 2025!

By the way, I now officially live and work in Berlin, Germany! As a long-time fan of demoscene, drum 'n' bass, döner kebab, and cafés, I am excited to be here! (It's not utopia, of course, but nowhere is.)
