It's unfortunate that there are literally attorneys posting YouTube videos about topics that they know nothing about.
And they're giving bad advice.
Just watch a YT video about stolen domain names and they talked about cybersquatting. Apparently they don't know what a stolen domain name is. LOL

Did you claim your domain name as your username? Good.
But keep in mind that you can't hold onto your previous handle. You can always claim it and use another email address. Then pin a post that says you're using your domain name as your handle, and link to it.

But I've been known to buy "really good" domains while I'm asleep!
At least domains that I thought were good...
Here's an idea for @bsky.app and @safety.bsky.app. Since domain names are allowed to be used, Bluesky should get together with Nameblock and allow blocks.
Nameblock.com allows brand owners to place a block on their brand so that domain names can't be registered.
It would be great for Bluesky.
If someone did that it wouldn't go well.
First, the company or brand would complain to Bluesky, especially if they owned the trademark. I'm sure Bluesky would remove it.
And, if the company or brand has a domain block in place via Nameblock,, well, it wouldn't be registered in the first place.

If you're using your domain name as your Bluesky handle, then you may want to also verify your bluesky username (without the domain name) so that someone else cannot claim it.
You could use another email address to claim your 'other' username, the other version.
Never share your domain registrar login with web designers—they only need you to point your domain name.
Giving access risks domain theft, they could take control & charge you to reclaim it. Always keep domain control.
