While undertaking fieldwork on #LordHoweIsland this month, the #AdriftLab team completed 21 #cleanups of four beaches. In total, we removed 2943 #plastics weighing 33kg (carried on our bicycles). All debris was sorted & uploaded to Australia’s national database #AMDI

They don't just pick up rubbish, they collect data, count, weigh, record brands, countries of origin. Then implement strategies to prevent the problem.
