Feedback Friday:

It’s now been two years since I returned to work and two and a half since I was discharged from a recovery centre. Since that date I haven’t had one day off and continue to not have alcohol in my life and feel confident that I have faced and learnt to cope with previous trauma I’d ignored throughout my adult life.

My progress during the last 2 and a half years is being topped off by starting a PhD in January. I’m keen to get those lost years back and leave behind something positive rather than what it would have been, which Practitioner Health played a huge part in helping me achieve.

We are incredibly proud to have supported many health and care professionals with alcohol and/or drug misuse. Our dedication to creating a truly confidential service has ensured that our patients can get better in a safe, supportive space. #AlcoholAwarenessWeek

Alcohol and Breastfeeding. Two glasses of alcohol, filled with fruit

Alcohol and Breastfeeding. Two glasses of alcohol, filled with fruit

You don’t need to express breastmilk to remove alcohol from your system - it leaves your milk as it leaves your bloodstream.

Before drinking, ask yourself - who is the sober, responsible adult caring for your baby?

Remember: NEVER bed share or fall asleep holding your baby.
