Alan Shepard (pictured) had become the first American in space 10 years earlier.

What does a bootprint on the Moon look like up close?
Taken #OTD in 1969 on Apollo 12, this always gets lots of attention at #ApolloRemastered exhibitions.
It's actually one of a stereoscopic pair. So here's both, remastered from the original film and animated into a 'wobble 3D'.

Alan Bean (seen reflected, through the hatch): "Let me get the old camera on you, babe!"
This was one of the more difficult images to work on for #ApolloRemastered.
